Event Details:

Our 2nd Annual Joyful Journeys: A Wellness Conversation event was held on May 1 and featured Danielle and Bryan Mitchell of The Cognizant Group. Thank you to everyone who joined us for a great evening filled with community, connection, and transformative insight. We had a strong turnout and were glad to see so many people interested in taking charge of their health.

Danielle delivered an impactful message about the importance of digging deeper—looking into root causes rather than just treating symptoms—reminding us that real healing happens when we address the whole person. Bryan shared powerful insights on caring for the brain and creating new neural pathways, inspiring us to consider the incredible potential of neuroplasticity in our wellness journeys.

We were also excited to have local health partners on hand who not only shared their expertise but also contributed some great raffle items. The raffle was a hit, and it was great to see so much engagement around the health resources available in our community.

Thanks again to everyone who made the night a success—from our speakers to our partners to all who attended. We are looking forward to more opportunities to learn and grow together.

Featured Speakers: Danielle & Bryan Mitchell

  • Bryan Mitchell, a native Houstonian, is one of only a few NeuroMovement® practitioners certified in Craniosacral Fascial Therapy (CFT). With an academic foundation rooted in philosophy of science and neuroplasticity, Bryan’s interest deepened when their son was born with multiple brain abnormalities and special needs. After discovering NeuroMovement®, the Mitchells saw life-changing results in their son. Inspired by these outcomes, Bryan pursued certification as a NeuroMovement® practitioner. Later, he pursued additional training to become a Gillespie Approach Craniosacral practitioner including specialized training to work with infants. Today, he is passionate about offering these transformative methods to others, helping clients achieve profound changes through neuroplasticity.

  • Danielle Mitchell is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN), and Functional Medicine Certified Health Coach (FMCHC). With degrees in Nutritional Sciences from Texas A&M University and a Masters of Education in Clinical Counseling from University of Houston, Danielle integrates her nutrition expertise and mental health training to support clients holistically. After almost a decade of working in clinical care at MD Anderson, Danielle started a private practice to specialize in functional medicine nutrition, neurodivergence, special needs, and nutrigenomics. In her counseling services, Danielle works with individuals, couples, and families, addressing a wide range of concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and grief. Danielle is also certified in the EAGALA method, blending horse-human interaction into equine assisted psychotherapy sessions at the horse stables to foster healing and growth.

As Co-Owners and Founders of The Cognizant Group with future aspirations to create Beacon Ranch Retreat Center, Danielle and Bryan combine their expertise to provide integrative care through innovative therapies, counseling, and nutrition. Their shared commitment to improving the lives of others stems from their personal journey as parents and professionals, and they are honored to support individuals and families in their own healing and change.
